I'm seeing these old albums on ebay for way too much money. What do you collectors think about vintage albums for old coins? I bought one and I like it. Do the local coin stores have these vintage ones laying around or just the Whitman folders?
Rest in Peace

Some coin shops have vintage albums and folders in a so-called junk box . These will be fairly cheap . You could also find some oldies at a show .

Ensure that the materials used in your old albums are archival quality. A number of those older albums can be harmful over time.

Do a "Saved Search" on the specific album (s) your're looking and you'll get an automatic email every time a new one is listed. Chances are good you'll eventually find a good one at the right price.

At some coin shows I've seen tables full of them and for a really cheap price.

Sounds like an opportunity with ebay prices so high. Maybe nobody is buying and it's just one of those listings. I'm looking for the Canadian cent album which is harder to find than the Lincoln's. I have the Canadian nickel version and it has a section for the tiny 5 cent silvers. My US coins are in Dansco and Whitman, but I like the look of the vintage album and I think I'll try to make my Canadian albums match.

I had no problem finding one. I simply went to the Canada Forum area and asked. Someone gave me the name of a company and I got one. And a really great one too.
