The British Museum has their coins exposed to air, laid out in trays, which are in specially built coin cabinets. The coins are deliberately allowed to patinate, and to be handled 'in hand' by those who need to study and photograph them. Potentially million dollar value coins are stored and displayed in this manner. Report this Post to the Staff

I use the large size and after inserting an Album, I sort of push out any extra air. For very expensive Albums, I double the Zip Lock bags and for many, many years I've had no problems at all.
