It has a little bit of gunk there but I am not going to do anything to risk altering the surfaces, and besides, the attempted removal might make it more noticeable with the color change. If it ends up being as pretty as it looks I might send it off to PCGS
for TrueViews and a variety attribution on the holder. Both Mr. Snow & the Penny Lady will be seeing this coin on another site so I'll ask their opinions as well. NCS is also a possible option as I don't have any experience with PCGS
conservation services, even though I hate to send copper and bronze coins to NGC because they have been exceptionally strict for the last year or more.
