I may have asked this question before, but I don't remember doing so--I am trying to get a 'ball park" value for a set of Mexican gold 50 pesos, all graded by NGC as MS-64 except for three of the later dates which are MS-65. I am doing this for a friend who is not computer literate (nor am I to any degree!)
Anyway, the coins are as follows:1921, 22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,43,and 1944, 45, and 46 in MS-65. I think there was also a 1947 which he is missing, but should be relatively easy to find and purchase if he wishes.

You should look at the NGC website to see if they are priced at that MS level. My Krause only gives UNC prices (below that they are bullion coins).

Not many people would be collecting a set like this! To realize close to full value might mean a sale at at big auction house.

Sounds as if he's got a great collection! There are a few '47s on the bay right now, I believe a 65

& 66. But understandably, they dont come cheap. Good luck!

I took a quick look over on NGC.

For the 1921-1931 series, NGC MS64 examples 1922-31 are bringing auction prices of $1800-2000 in 2018 and 2019.
Some specimens of the 1921 have gotten significant premiums, with MS64 coins selling at $4400 and $3600 in the last two years.
