Fake. Simplest way to know is that the counterstamps are not counterstamps.

chop marks that deep should cause raised areas on the opposite side. I don't see them here. Good eye moxking.

In general would be more productive to use the money to light a bbq than buying raw CC Trade dollars

I would hazard to guess that 90-95% of CC trades that are raw are fake.

Buy a TPG and crack it if you must.

If you think you'll find a "cheap" example because they are raw - I doubt it.

Find an ANACS. It will be the same price as raw, or close to it.

So is it just too hard to spot the good counterfeits from pictures?

You need to know how to grade the type of coin you are looking for. I use Heritage sold or Great Collections sold most of the time for many good examples.

ICG is worthless for grading (much too inconsistent) so you might get a prize with little competition. But it really isn't going to cost much more for a NGC or PCGS.

Why does this guy show pics of fake coins which are overweight. Not sure I understand what this seller is trying to accomplish. I mean, atleast show the correct weight if your trying to screw someone.

Nice try to pass off a fake. Beat it up a little and chop it. Who would of thought?
