Well it is a face value coin. No premium for a damaged coin.

For sure it is damaged, but that cool toning looks to me like it comes from this cent being held next to a lighter or candle flame.

Your cent has some sort of staining or heat damage, perhaps as Spence has suggested, post mint. No extra value though, sad to say.
