I have a 2006p Nebraska State Quarter missing reverse class layer and has multiple striking word errors on front and back.i can not find this coin anywhere else and was wondering if anyone knows the value and rarity of it? It came straight out of the mint and is uncirculated

My parents purchased 10 roles of quarters from the mint and are u ready for this?i put that quarter and the rest of them in the coin op machine and the machine kept spitting this one back out at me so after the fifth time it came back out I checked it out to see why and this was the reason, it's thinner and weighs around a gram less.

This is one of my favorite errors, as you can see what's wrong with the coin from across the room! I have had a few missing clad coins over the years, but not a State Quarter.

If the coin is a gram light, I'm 99.9% sure it's "Missing Clad Layer Before the Strike." That's why the rims are shallow and fade in and out on both sides of the coin.

GREAT FIND!

Carmdogg708,
I just noticed that you did not flatten the staples on your 2x2 holder, you need to make flattening them a routine. It will protect other 2x2's when you stack them. Also,it is always best to remove coins from whatever holder they are in before taking pics when possible.
