I bought it in 1986 specifically for the coins.
It's a Edsal 24" H x 30" W x 11" D Steel Wall Mounted Cabinet for Tool Storage.

I added the wood shelves recently. I Put small Velcro (self stick) straps on top to hold the wing ends open.

I have a collection that is valued at several thousands of dollars, and has taken me more than 40 years to assemble.
For those reasons, the most valuable part of my collection is in a hidden safe.

That's exactly why my coins are in a safe deposit box. I hate having to go to the bank when I want to to play with my coins but they're safe there. I know too many people that have had their coin and gun collections stolen. Sadly, it's often a family member.

One of the problems that some coin collectors have to face is that a member of the family is into drugs.

There remains a great temptation for an addict to slowly pilfer a coin collection, to support their habit.
That could be good reason to support a bank safe deposit box, with third party safety.
