1955 P LWC Reeded Edge Or Collar Error?

Is this common on wheat cents? I noticed one then found 3 more immediately after. Is anyone familiar with this and if so what is it. Thanks for any help

Neither. It is kinda common on wheats and mems and shields as well. I think it might have something to do with the blanks as they are being punched out of the metal sheets.

These are ejection lines. Created when the struck coin is ejected from the collar .
During the strike the planchet expands and fills the collar. The coin basically scrapes its way out of the collar.

So these are collar errors? How common are they? I've only found this on the 1955 p

Your examples exhibit the lines a bit more than most but I wouldn't consider them an error .

Looks like they cut those planchets out with a miniature cutting torch.

Thanks john1. Just found 2 more and I think they are all poor man's doubled dies. Maybe it's DDD on the edge from a worn collar
