Nice find! I like the design of this coin for some reason.

Nice find! When I started, I wanted to find any doubled die no matter how small. Even now, with larger doubled dies in my collection, I still enjoy collecting the smaller ones I find. After all, they are still legitimate double dies! But as always, this is just my opinion. Again, nice find!

The commonality of center area doubling as a by-product of die production. Common in that the process is flawed. Yeah, the "experts" will say these are actual DD's and therefore catalog as such, but to me, these are more in category of the die chip and cracks, a variety, not a "mint error". ...there's just TOO many varieties of each. But there will always be those that think they found gold over these, senseless as it is.

If I didn't know better, I'd say tootallious and USSID18 are the same person. Same argument, Same opinion. Same signature too!
We've had this debate in the past, not sure if you saw it. Us variety collectors disagree with this opinion and we trust those with decades of experience and research who say they are doubled dies (and more importantly, we believe that their explanations for this make sense), and I've found that arguing about this leads no where and brings up pointless hostility that I personally would like to avoid from here on out. Let's just agree to disagree.
And no we don't believe we "strike gold" with these, we just think they're fun to find.
Also, cool find Oijogja!

Who left him in charge? These guys just don't want to debate it.

Quote: These guys just don't want to debate it. I have debated it. Others have debated it. You just don't listen. We hit an impasse immediately every time and neither of us are going to change our stance. It always ends up becoming name calling and hostile because of the your aggravating and condescending posts. It's just not worth arguing. I'm done. And I'm encouraging others to be done as well. Don't expect many more responses to your provocation, at least from me.
