Can anyone tell me what's going on with this 1943 S Nickel? Is the peeling the result of the age of the coin? Thanks, Maggie

It's called a lamination error. Nice find!

We see this a lot on the copper and silver planchets. They are interesting, but the more valuable ones are the most extreme examples.


Save the missing pieces on these extreme ones.
