There is damage, but beneath the head looks like there is a exstra rim layer. Backside it looks like rim actually lap over instead of a full circle. I have collectable coins but this one I found was different to me on this fact becouse PMD dossint seem to be the cause atleast on the head side of the dime

But if PMD is the cause of the 2 places I see what causes this? Becouse I've seen damage in a alot of forms on coins but the way this dime is was different. But I may be wrong that's why I'm looking for opinions

It's definitely damage. Is the reeding intact around the edge of the coin? Could have been tapped in and folded over.
