Any thoughts on how this damage was created? When we see this bubbling and wrinkling on clad coins, we talk about excessive heat, but I don't recall seeing this same thing on a cent. Maybe this is also a campfire coin?

It was squashed between something, probably twice. Once on each half. Just a spendable coin. When it gets back to the bank it will get sent back to the mint with all the other murdered coins.
