Any insight into what this coin is would be appreciated. It's about 25mm diameter and 1mm thick. I don't know its composition and found no lettering on the edge. Thanks.

It is an old style gaming chip with the CU or UC as the establishment or owners, or just a token used in place of change or an early vending machine token. It isn't worth a lot probably a cpouple of dolars or less if in the bargain/ 50% off box

to the CCF, aldybill

This is a cool maverick, what with the fancy, intertwined letters, reminiscent of love tokens. I'd venture to guess it may be a hundred years old. I've seen many a token over the years, but not this one. If it is that old, the 25 cent denomination was larger than most of that day. Perhaps, this token constituted the price of admission to a show?

Taking a shot, I took a peek at Richard's Token Catalog. A cursory search revealed 800 pages of possibilities. Sorry to say, I see this token as the proverbial "needle in a haystack."

Thanks to you both for looking at it. I guess it shall remain a mystery for now. My trip through Richard's produced similar result - haystacks. Searching "25 uc" brought back 4 pages with no match and "25 cu" brought 14 pages with, again, nothing. Switching the value and letters didn't change anything. I guess I'll back-burner this one for now and jump on the 35-40 world coins I have without a stroke of English lettering. Thanks, again!
