@rh1, well we can only see half of the coin or token as the other side was sanded flat and that six-pointed star stamped into the newly-blank side. I'll keep looking, but hopefully someone will recognize that design.

interesting piece
post measurements of your piece..diameter, thickness , and weight in grams to second decimal and what your think the metal composition might be
I googled Salmon Falls Manufacturing and it appears to have been a textile and general manufacturing company from 19 th century mainly ...company tokens and scrip money could be an avenue to explore in your research
another idea that occurred to me is that it might have been a manufacturer's decal from something they produced...repurposed into a token or keepsake.

Just an idea but more info might crack this case
