It is a 1913, but-- without the reverse it is hard to say that it is a D or a Type 2.

Two things:
#1) value: Type #1= $$20 in Good-4.
Type #2= $150 in Good 4.

#2) The Type 1 in Buffalo on the mound;
Type 2: Buffalo on plain.

You should pick up a Red Book to study the differences.
That is not a criticism, but it is important to learn.

Nic-a-date I assume?
The obverse is a little rough from some scattered laminations but it is still a coin of value.

Wait! Wait! Wait! What am I missing? How have we determined it's a type 2 without seeing the reverse or without Soldier at least TELLING us that it's on a plain rather than a mound? I would actually guess, based on the appearance of the date, that it is a Type 1.

Thanks! Sorry that I didn't add the pic of the reverse on the post. I know what one is worth in good condition but what do you think this is worth being a restoration and all? And biokemist6 I use a vinegar bath and this one has been in it for about 2 weeks.

In restored condition, take the Red Book book value in good and divide by 5-10 and that will give you the price it will roughly sell for on ebay.

Thanks Mycrob. I knew it would significantly lower the value but I didn't know how much. It is def. worth more than the 25 cents I paid for it. I'm going to hold onto it for a while anyway!
