PMD,maybe early stage dryer coin. Maybe a slot machine coin.

Looks like I can see a little copper on the rim, but a photo of the edge would help to confirm that it dime is clad. If so, my money is on it being dated 1969.

With the Denver mintmark on the obverse it can only be 1968 or 1969.

Here Are 2 photos showing the edge - same color is around the diameter,
Then I placed 2 new dimes on each side to show difference in color and thinness.

The date appears to be1969D. My pictures aren't the best but I can see a light strike of the 4th digit. Do you agree?

I actually think that your pics are pretty good. As to the date, I think that it was most likely struck as normal and this excessive wear is now partly obscuring the final digit.

Is there anything to get excited about with this coin?

I didn't discover the doubling until after my first post. Here's another picture.
