Seems like every 2 or 3 years I have to say this.

If you can't reply to a topic without being snarky, mean, or a condescending jerk, just don't reply, I'm done.

I've had enough. Please don't try my patience.

New members are the building blocks of this community, chasing them away because you have no patience is not acceptable.

Hopefully this will make an impact towards the aggressive and smartaleck comments.

Does it truly matter if they don't agree with you? The easiest way to deal with someone who is being argumentative and irrational is to accept their arguments even if they are wrong. Accepting that someone is stuck on a particular idea doesn't mean they are right.

If that is impossible there's no reason to let their insistence make you impolite.

Cool it suipakpaikungfu.

It's very simple, as Bobby said. If you are getting annoyed with someone that doesn't wish to accept your advice, be the mature human and walk away, leave the thread.

So what? Let them. You can't convince everyone of the truth.

This forum is top notch and very well managed, unlike the heavy handedness and gestapo tactics of the manager and MOD's over on CoinTalk!!

Or Stampboards for that matter, they brag on 15k members yet only about 50 of them are active. Every newbie with a stamp is chased away from knowitalls who call their stamps rubbish, kiddie junk, ferret cage liners and the like. The Australian run board is also incredibly racist towards anyone not from a White majority 1st world country as I found out first hand.

If anyone acted like that here, I would expect a perma ban. Coins and stamps need new collectors and we should be welcoming them no matter how naive they are. Of course there will be time waters who keep starting a new thread for every common coin they have, but these are a minority.

My mother always said "If you can't say something nice, keep your mouth closed".

Loving Halfcrowns. British and Commonwealth coins 1750 - 1950 and anything Kiwi.
If it's round, shiny and silvery I will love it.
