I don't really see anything abnormal with the lettering in these photos

I think the B does look out-of-round. The bottom loop seems to be "pregnant," for lack of a better word. All of the initials look sort of inflated. I'm not sure if it's a DDR, but I think it's interesting. Design creep maybe?

Or contact flattened. The 'L' also looks like the east edge is flattened.

Design creep is noted on the outside edge of the coins where the devices are into the rim:
