I found this in an old change jar that I have been going through for the past week or so. Most of the coins I have found I can find a comparison online but for this one I can't find anything. I don't know if this is an error or just outside damage. Thought it would be worth asking if any of you have any ideas on this one

to the CCF!

It looks like it's been Spooned or maybe a dryer coin. The reduced size and thick rim shows that it's Post Mint Damage. Do a search for the terms and you'll see images of this kind of damage.

Yep, the thickened rim and the fact that the rim has been pushed much closer to the inscriptions and portrait is a very good indicator that the coin was manipulated after it left the Mint. It is a damaged coin and does not have a numismatic value.

Spooned. Not a mint error.
