Hello everyone I was trying to figure out if your better off when selling on eBay to open a store account or not. Does it make a difference if you are a big seller or someone who post 10-20 items a month. I also see promotions like what's going on now "list 200 items for free from Sept. 1 till Oct 1" is it really free? Or just a ploy. Ebay can be confusing at times. Any insights from ebay sellers would be appreciated.

Listing fees are really free when they run that special. And they always seem to run that special. I've never paid their listing fees. Of course there are still other fees when and if the item sells. 10% from Ebay, roughly 2-3% from paypal. Ebay does sometimes run specials on their seller fees. But every time I have ever checked into one, coins and currency are excluded.

I may list 5-10 coins a month. Plus some of my wife's crafting stuff. I know at one point I checked into how a "store" works. Don't remember the details. But I did come to the conclusion that it wasn't for me.

When you get to 100 posts on here, you can link your ebay profile. You can also post a topic in the ebay selling forums linking specific listing or auctions.

Get to 250 posts on here, and you can sell directly from this sight. In the "Memeber CCF Sales" forum. I have bought, sold, and traded coins on here. With positive results. No fees. But you do not have the protections that ebay gives you.

If you are a big time seller then a store is beneficial and can help to reduce your selling fees.

If you just an occasional seller then a store is of no benefit.

You just have to crunch your numbers to determine if havinga store would be helpful.

Good luck!

It is insane, 9.45% ebay selling final value fees alone, plus paypal fees on top of it!!
