Is this anything special? It has a really deep ridge on the edges and smooth rim. I've never seen anything like this. Is it worth anything? Thanks in advance!

to CCF. Looks like a dryer coin. A coin that gets stuck in a commercial clothes dryer. It is considered PMD.

The coin is showing Post Mint Damage. The edge was normal at one time, but it has been modified. It could have been "Spooned" or it may be what's called a dryer coin. I've also seen coins that were turned down in tools used to make copper pipe flanges.
The first US coin motto was found on a 1792 half disme and read: "LIB (erty) PAR (ent) OF SCIENCE & INDUSTRY"
