This one was not straight from a roll but I came across it in our change bank in the kitchen, of all places! I thought I had already gone through all these. The pic isn't the greatest (took it with my camera phone right on the kitchen counter!) but any thoughts as to grade would be appreciated as well!

So it wasn't from a bank roll, but went I went to dump some half dollars today there was a 57-D wheatie just sitting in plain view. I guess the last guy to use the machine wasn't a numismatist, so I said YOINK, and put it straight in my pocket!

I bought (for work) a box of pennies today. Plastic-wrapped rolls in a Brinks box. When I opened it, I said, "Man, the edges of all those coins just look OLD!" Opened 4 rolls, and only found 1 wheat (46D), but no other cents newer than 1981. TONS of 67-72. Tomorrow, I'll buy some of the rolls for myself...

This isn't all that exciting, but then, my roll-search fu is weak.

It doesn't show up well, but he's got a Frankenstein-style scar running through his temple. This was an interesting roll - the newest date was 1990 and it was 75% copper. Also got a BU roll of LP2 and an XF U block 1995 $1 bill in a strap of ones.

I havent posted my finds on this for a while, cause I havent found anything
I've been averaging 2.5 wheats a box for the last 15 boxes and havent found an indian head for over 40 boxes. These last three boxes though yielded more BU copper than I wanted, literally I'm running out of money hoarding this copper, cause it adds up fast. I have to have at least 4-500 dollars face now. I guess I'm not complaining though cause when it comes time to sell
well sorry for my novel, here's the best thing I've found in this week's 14 boxes

this thing has as sharp as a strike as my BU 50's and is just in amazing condition. Just real quick, what do you think it would grade?
-thanks

OK, I was able to snag 32 rolls, and here are the results:

17 wheats : 44, 44S, 45D, 45S, 46, 46D, 52S, 53S, 53D, 54S, 55D, 56, 56Dx2, 57, 57D, 57S
9 Canadian cents, from 71-87
4 zinc : 97D, 03D, 04D, 08D
2 70S small date

All the rest were copper from 59-82. Nothing really fabulous, but filled a few holes in my circulation set, and upgraded quite a few condition-wise.

are you sure those 70s' were small dates? If they are that's miraculous! can you post pics so we can confirm it?
either way, 17 wheats in 32 rolls is awesome!

I agree that's a nice amount of wheats! I got 22 total out of the last 2 boxes I searched. (and I think that was good)

I can't post pics right now - I need a decent camera. But I'm awfully sure about them - They both look markedly different than all the dozens of others that were in the box, and I was looking at the illustration from the Red Book, as well as some site on the web. Neither is in great shape - both in the neighborhood of VF.

I usually get one every ten rolls or so.
