Welcome! Assuming you're asking about a U.S. half dollar, that in question would be a
Barber half dollar (1892-1916). If no mint mark is located directly below the eagle's tail on the reverse it would have been struck at Philadelphia. D for Denver, S for San Francisco other wise. Mint marks factor into value, so again assuming it's from Philadelphia and smooth grading About Good (AG), $10.00 would be about right retail. One grade higher and that jumps to almost thirty.
