I don't want to offend anyone if they buy from this seller (or if they are this seller), but I'm honestly just confused? Every single listing has overexposed photos that show absolutely no detail. These coins could potentially be ok, with original surfaces, but more likely I'm guessing they are dipped/polished. However, this seller seems to have lots of sales...and doesn't accept returns. What's going on here?

With no slabbed coins in the mix my guess is 99% of the stuff he is selling is either dipped to death or harshly cleaned.

The over exposure of the photos is telling a story you probably don't want to fully know!

Defiantly harshly cleaned, which is a shame since some of them are nice

Steer clear. Over exposed pics, no returns, and exaggerated grades on every 2x2 says it all. If this seller allowed returns, I guarantee you the pics wouldn't look like that. Willing to be just about all of them are problematic.
Just another deceiving eBay seller.

I think you just say no thanks and move on.

There are enough sellers on ebay that you can afford to be a little picky. I figure that somebody who doesn't care enough to learn to take acceptable (not great, but acceptable) photos isn't somebody I want to do business with.

I completely agree with everyone's comments here, for sure. But something is just not right, look at the feedback. Every buyer is very pleased, and some spent upwards of hundreds of dollars. So odd. I'm having a hard time understanding how a single coin collector or dealer would buy anything from this seller, let alone over a dozen coins this month alone. These photos are as good as no photos at all in my mind.

They are what is commonly referred to as uniformed buyers. Most of these people can't tell whizzed or cleaned from natural mint luster, much less grade a coin. Trust me, as an LCS employee we deal with people all the time who buy coins like these for insane amounts of money when they aren't worth crap.

Bingo! This is literally the only explanation that makes any sense. In coin collecting / Numismatics, it certainly takes time to acquire "the skills". And unfortunately, this seller's only audience is these uninformed novice collectors/buyers. I was certainly swayed by the shine of a dipped coin when I was (more of) a novice. Now, I do my best to avoid them, as I want original surfaces with as much luster as possible. These folks may be dealing with buyer's remorse in a few years once they learn a little more.

Remember feed backs mean nothing. All you need is lots of friends to send in fantastic ones. Does not mean they are real.

This seller knows enough about coin photography and post processing to manipulate images to produce DMPL Morgan dollars.https://www.ebay.com/itm/1889-P-GEM...AOSwvltfTDYI
