Wonder how many rare, significant, key dates or errors were in there?

I had a bottle that size full of copper cents. My niece found it at my Mom's house and proceeded to systematically dump it into a CoinStar about 5 year ago...

Fun video. But the poor guy didn't seem to have learned much during those 45 years if he never bothered to check his coins for better dates as he went along.

I don't think the guy was a true coin collector like us. I think he just hoarded pennies without looking for or caring about the things we care about with regards coins.

I mean, how could you be so consumed by something for that long, seeing all the different designs, and not want to learn more about them?

Talk about being consumed, ever see one of those hoarding reality shows on TV? Although, I shouldn't laugh. I think it's a serious mental diseases.

I bet that guys couldn't even tell you what President was on the coin!! I doubt if he even looked at the designs or dates, he just picked them up, looked for them in his change and put them in jars.

This reminds me of that video that was posted years ago about that guy who paid off the last I think $7k of his mortgage with pennies. I can't remember the whole story but it was definitely cute. It was a promise he made to his wife that he would do that. I believe his wife had passed.
