Just finishing up the box that I've been slowly working through for the past week. Not a lot of finds (the only other worth posting was a 2006 P WDDO-009 that I found a few days ago), but I just made what's definitely the find of the box in my opinion. Doubling can be seen strongly on EPU as well as on the roof and floor of the memorial building. Over all, I think it's a very cool and pretty atypical example of a single squeeze DDR, and very different from any I've found before. (I know it looks a little bit like MD, so look closely at the doubling on the floor/ceiling as well as the lower dot between PLURIBUS and UNUM. Here is a link to Wexler's entry). https://www.doubleddie.com/839202.html

@Josephm99 That would be very cool if true! The example on Wexler's site says it was submitted by Billy Crawford, but that of course doesn't mean Coop couldn't be the original discoverer of the variety.

Edit: Seems Coop's discovery is a very similar DDR on a 2002 D. Found it on a thread I posted a long time ago about favorite lesser-known varieties. http://goccf.com/t/375546&whichpage=2

Note all the reduction on the devices? I feel this is just Machine Doubling. On the real deal all the devices on the coin are enlarged:

Not MD Coop. Check the ceiling and floor of the memorial building and compare against wexler's entry. Also, your picture is of 2004 P DDR-001, which I'm guessing is why you're confused. This is a 2004 D DDR-001, not a P.

Missed that. The Philly one is a lot more common here.

But still seeing Machine Doubling on your coin. Note the width of the devices. On yours, it is reduced, not enlarged.

Again coop, check the memorial floor and ceiling. The devices are enlarged, but my poorly lit microscope makes it look a little flat. The split serifs and doubling are more visible under the loupe.

Edit: also, compare the shape of the doubled areas on each letter and dot. The odds of the match being that exact are astronomically low, regardless of whether or not you believe me about the lighting on the scope making it look flatter than it is.
