Aha Coop!circulation strike with old cameo...that's what that black tone is. My novest skill with Barbers filed these under the "just different/sharper than others cranium section". Have run into 2 other VG's like this that literally snap right out at you - both in late 1890's. I still have 1st crack at all
Barber quarters in a former dealers box but its getting tricky now. He has everything from G6-AU in same box and prices, grades, originals, and cleaned are all mixed and all over the map. Nobody here is showing much interest in Barbers, all want silver silver silver so using caution but still timidly pecking on his old passovers box.
