@mr, how sure are you that it is old? I'm not seeing it listed on the primaltrek page for Chinese horse tokens (https://primaltrek.com/horse.html) and so I'm wondering if perhaps this is a modern concoction.

With characters only on one side I'm suspecting a charm or similar object rather than a coin however I'm not an expert so hopefully another member can provide more info.
It could be a modern concoction, but to me, it has an aged look. Also the horse and human figure designs have that machine doubled look, and that probably makes it more modern perhaps.

I'm not a gambling man but I would hedge a bet for being a more modern production. Size of it sure is pretty neat though. I wasn't expecting that quarter to be completely dwarfed
