Going through some .05 cent rolls, I picked up Canadian 1958, 1966, both in pretty good shape. Also, U.S. Jefferson 1970S, real nice shape.

coggie59 - a 1938! Wow, good find! I guess I'm also looking to complete an American set (more recent dates though, it takes a lot of searching to find the wheat cents). I probably have everything 1960-2008 in the D set by now, I'm not sure about the non-mint mark ones. Shafta9a - I haven't found any nickels pre-1960s yet, I think I'll stick to cents for now - much higher success rate

rogers, go to the bank, get $20.00 worth of nickels, go through them, roll them back up, and take them back. You'll be surprised to see what you will find.

I have been doing nickels as well (searched through around 880 so far) but I don't know enough about the varieties etc to know when I have good ones. Also, I haven't gotten a nickel older than 1960 yet.

The '37 is my oldest Wheat cent, but my sister gave me a 1928 nickel that she found in circulation once! The only other George V I have I bought - a 1922 for $1. Price guide says it's $20.

Made a great score today(sort of) I got a box of cent rolls (20) to look for Wheaties. only found one horribly abused 58, BUT there was 2 full rolls of Canadian cents. helped me almost fill out my set. I've started at 1960 because, although they are some what common here older ones are far and few between. Like the 38 last week . oh these came from the same store. any how all I lack for a date set are 60,69,70,83, so it worked out great Pulled a 51, 59 real nice AU,2-64.1-62, 1-66, 1-68, and a 2000 2 cent netherlands euro. thanks for your time. Nice coggie! On the ferry today I spotted a 1944 Wheat cent in the leave-a-penny-take-a-penny tray. Not the greatest of conditions, but hey! Also got the Kansas State Quarter in change, I've gotten around 15 now.

Searched another 3150, not the greatest of finds, I think I'll stick to the banks I've been going to before. However, I did get a 1924S, and a beautiful 1954 (pics here: https://goccf.com/t/39940). I also got another 1924S from my dad from his change just before Christmas I'm going to see if I can get a XF+ collection for 1960+, for both Canadian and American cents. Findings to date (11800 cents searched = 236 rolls): Canada: Years - count - 1 every how many coins 1930s - 1 - 11800 1940s - 12 - 938 1950s - 40 - 295 1960s - 320 - 37 (will search the toned and BU possibles and edit this post later) USA: Years - count - 1 every how many coins 1920s - 2 - 5900 1930s - 1 - 11800 1940s - 8 - 1475 1950s - 15 - 787 1960s - 47 - 251 1970s - 140 - 84 1980s - 178 - 66 1990s - 175 - 67 2000s - 97 - 122 Also found this search: 2000 1 Sen from Malaysia (don't know how it got all the way over here but glad it did )

Picked up two rolls of quarters yesterday; let's see what's in them. Roll the First (In order): 2008L 2008L 2007L 2004P 2008L 1980 1977 2004P 2006L 2008L 2000("Family") 2007L 2002P 2008L 2008(Freestyle Skiing) 2004P 1977 2008(Poppy) 2007L 2006L 2007L 1969 2007L 2001P 2000("Pride") 2006L US1974 2005P 1999(November) 1982 1974 1993 2007L 2004P 2003P 2005P 2007L 2008L 1974 1990 Keepers: The 5 Commemoratives and the Washington quarter for sure; the former because of what they are, and the latter saved in a US roll I'm doing up to buy gas with next time I'm across the border. The 2006L's because they had a much lower mintage than the 2006P's. Roll the Second (also in order): 2002P 1973RCMP 2006P 2000("Achievement") 1976 2006(Pink Ribbon) 2006P 2000("Harmony") 2007L 2002P 2003P(New Queen) 2007(Hockey) 1989 2006P 2002P(Canada Day) 2008L 1990 2000("Celebration") 2007L 2006L 2004P 2006P 1974 2003P(NQ) 2006P 1987 1993 2007(Hockey) 2001P 1978 2004P 1989 2006L 2006L 2006P 1988 1985 2005P 2003P(NQ) 1974 Keepers: The 3 '06L's for now, and the 8 Commemoratives.
