This one here found ermmm 12 13 yrs ago didnt even really realize at that time of the Types and one of the reasons I really started to collect, and search.
I also have a gold plated one also but that probably killed the value of it lol
I've heard the type ones were struck in 1975 and the type 2 were 1976 strikes. I don't remember now where I heard that though? Fake one. Note the light on the '5'. LOL
yeah back then didnt even know till later there was lol,, I'm going to have to check that out also coop I have a few but seems wierd, I have a type 1 and 2 bi so erm not sure.

Correct. The Variety 1 CuNi Ikes were minted in 1975 and the Variety 2 were minted in 1976. The 1975 mint and proof sets have a Variety 1 Ike, the 1976 sets have Variety 2. All silver bicentennial Ikes are Variety 1.
I am sure there was some unintentional overlap, but I have never seen a set that had the incorrect Ike.
