I have a 1922 no D Lincoln Wheat cent. The coin has been cleaned. I want to know if there is still a value to this coin since it is a Die#2. It is very clear and I know that a coin must be seen to determine it's value, but I just want to know if it is worth keeping. Anyone? Thank you. *** Edited by Staff to clarify topic title. Of course its worth keeping. UNLESS it was a 1922 D that was buffed off and you just think it was cleaned. BUT if it was just cleaned an an actual 22 no D then YES..KEEP IT!

Even if it's been cleaned, it's still valuable if it's genuine. However, the price will be greatly reduced and will depend on the grade and how harshly it's been cleaned.

I sent it to ANACS and it was graded 1922 1C VF20 no D FS-401 Die 2. I am new here so I do not quite know how to post pictures. I will try and get pictures posted.
Thank you.

If it's a strong reverse (Die pair 2) in VF20 then it's worth a grand even if it's cleaned.

Yes, the folder says "Cleaned". Would like to know if it is still worth keeping? Could it be worth anything?

YES! Any pics yet? I'd say it's worth $1,000 based on what we know. If it's a strong reverse that is............

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe that you knew the die number and you knew enough to send it to ANACS but don't know if it's worth keeping? Also, the pictures that you posted came from ebay. If you purchased it there, you must have paid quite a bit for it. Therefore, you know that it has a decent value. Please understand that it is my job to watch our forum and insure that our rules are adhered to. I see this as a possibility to get our members to make offers to you to purchase this coin. This would be blatantly against our rules.
