I have a Massachusetts quarter that The Base was not completely stamped on you can barely see the outline of the Head And which is liberty it only has the LIB I was just wondering what a quarter like that might be worth

to CCF.You posted in the wrong section. We will need better photos, full coin photo of the obverse and reverse as well as one or two close ups where needed. Also please crop and rotate photos properly before posting...thanks.

With picture's provided it's worth a Quarter. First thing's first is lets get some better pictures and lets determine ifs it's an error or just damage

. It just looks like damage from those photos also
When you buy on eBay make sure you don't get it then realize you bought the wrong thing 3 minutes later - me

Just looking to find out about it I've always looking for rare coin is it my pocket change and this is one of the ones I found I really would just like to get some information

I hate to say but it is deliberate damage. It was sanded off with a sander/grinder. Spendable

My apology I'm not sure what that means. Looks like the outside edge of the rim (the reeding) was sanded down also.
If you can weigh it it will be underweight from the material removed

I agree with Jasper, it is deliberate damage. It is only an error if it happens during
the striking of the coin and there is no way that damage could happen at that time.

Definitely post strike damage, both the obverse and the edge.

Well thank you for the input I appreciate your time I'm gonna take it by a place here in town Because working has a machinist It would be extremely difficult for someone to send that coin and Get it is even has it is but y'all could be right I hope not and I'll let y'all know and thanks for your time once again
