It has become hard to find quality pieces these days. My belief is that in spite of this perhaps being viewed as a "buyers market", good pieces will be kept rather than sold. Just my view.
That is a real nice piece. It looks like it has some nice original luster on it. I would have guessed AU58 or MS60 if the grade was not displayed.
I agree with your comments 100% Zohar. I dont see much available today. I suppose this is OK since I dont have much available to spend either these days.
Here is your taler's big brother. I only have the obverse imaged right now.
Indeed his brother - excellent piece, I have the 1696/5 overdate. I am seeing a more active market for the lower price coins $50 and under. I am "cleaning out the closet" selling these, to enable purchasing of the higher end coins, selectively.
Zohar and Wcg-- Beautiful coins! Thanks for the pics!
I've been thinking about your observation on the coin market. There've been some strong waves of high quality stuff to come out in some of the areas I watch, but generally I think you're right.
It's true that maybe people are holding good stuff back thinking few have the means to invest now. Hate to say it, but things look to keep getting worse. In which case, more higher value stuff may come forward.
