This is a 1936 Canadian cent received as change. I give it a vg - f grade. (I am not an expert.

I am in south Florida, and at first I thought this is an unusual find. Then after thinking about it, there are a lot of Canadians that winter here.

So I wonder what the grade/value of this coin might be.
Thank you in advance for your opinions.

to get a better response to the grading of this coin, maybe it should be moved over the the grading thread.

edit: maybe move it the the Canadian grading forum.

Great find from circulation, we don't come across them up here very often either.
I think your a little tough in the grading I'd go VF20-30.

I'd say VF-20, maybe better. It's worth $3-4 Cdn to the right buyer.

Nice find for down there! Id personally grade it as a mid-VF or so.

The mintage on the 1936 was a touch under 8.8 million, so while not rare, still a very nice circulation find (in the wrong country)! Finding cents from the 1940s or later is far more common.
