I generally weigh out any Lincoln cent <1986. Since I frequently see 2.55 gram cents, anything over 2.56 grams gets my attention. Typically that equates to gunk any not generally over 2.6 grams. I have a beautiful 1984 P weighing in at 2.62 grams. Any thoughts?

Pretty nice coin aside from the gash across Lincoln's face and above the date. 2.62 g is just barely outside of tolerance, so perhaps just rolled slightly thick?

to CCF. Mint tolerance is +/- .10 grams. Double check your scale for accuracy.
