I have about ten boxes worth of Lincoln memorial pennies from 1959 to 1982. I have cherry picked out the "reds" and any of the key date ones that I have found, leaving behind brown pennies in circulated condition. These brown ones are sorted roughly by decade, but that's about it.

At this point, I'm wondering if there's any point to trying to sort these by year and mint mark or even just year. My research leads me to believe the answer is no since they all seem to be worth the same. In other words, a 1976 roll would not be worth noticeably more than a roll that was just 1970's mixed.

Would someone mind verifying this for me? I wanted to ask here to get an opinion on it from people better educated about this than I.

Thank you

Rest in Peace

Well the thing is you said you cherry picked all the reds . that's fine . But you should go through the browns and cherry pick for DDO's , small dates , RPM's, etc. whatever you keep make sure they are holdered in cardboard 2x2 's .

That's what I'm doing right now. I dont even know how many boxes of pennies I got from the bank, but I'm cleaning out DDO, RPM, OMM, key dates, browns, reds, and I dont think I have any friends anymore&

@T-BOP Cool, thank you. And then once that's done, the leftovers can be just grouped together, yeah?

@Coinfrog Thanks, good to be here!

Glad I replied to this post.. I got looking and remembered I needed to check my 1970 S LMC for S/S RPM and I found two of them.
