Recently obtained a 1988 BU year set. The 50c is the Die variety B. Were all BU 50c coins variety B? Thinking of modifying the Numista entry but want some feedback if this is the case. Princetane to the rescue?

Hi David, the 2021 Bertrand catalogue says it was only circulation coins and some of them, these are the ones with 45 degree rigging visible on the sail and a larger JB initial.

Catalogue value is $20 UNC and $12 Avg. They also appear in 1984 UNC and Proof sets. Mintage is not given.
Loving Halfcrowns. British and Commonwealth coins 1750 - 1950 and anything Kiwi.
If it's round, shiny and silvery I will love it.
