Do you leave them in the "pretty" government packaging or do you put in the folders/binders/albums?

I usually buy mint sets for a reason, since I usually take coins out. I do have a few still in packaging, but majority have been broken up to place in albums.

I have a little collection of mint sets from different countries for my birth year. I keep them in a wooden box and pull them out for a look every now and then.

I keep all my mint sets complete in OGP together. My proof mint sets are dated from 1949 to 2021 with no missing dates., same for my uncirculated and mint and all my silver sets. Each type of set is kept grouped and stored.
I do buy other mint sets to break out to fill my albums.

I used to never buy mint sets from the mint. I had picked up a few in the past to fill some Dansco holes (the 1973 and 1987 sets come to mind), but generally preferred to get my coins from circulation.

I had been buying the ATB Quarter sets to build my album since I was not finding many in change, but the last couple of years I bought the full mint sets (the special W cents and nickels were catalysts), which saved me from buying the ATB set or sourcing half dollars from a coin show.

Since it appears there will not be a quarter set with the last ATB and only CTD quarter, I will be buying a mint set for the third straight year.

Oh, to be clear, these coins are pulled from the OGP an placed into my Dansco albums.

I buy two sets; one to keep in OGP and one to break and put in albums.

Just bought my first set, and I'm thinking about ordering the born in 2020 coin for my son. I doy think I'll crack open his 2021 birthday set for him I'll leave that up to him. The birthday set came with a special loonie that's only in the sets. A pair of hands handing a gift(or receiving) who know lol.

I get just the silver sets. Although, given the price increase, I'm not sure why. I have bought other sets if they come with a bonus coin. I leave them in the packaging.

The recent price increases on all annual sets (which show no signs of slowing) are definitely making me rethink my strategy of buying 2 per year.

Last time I bought Mint set was a while back, but I still have them in OGP's. The prices are not fitting into my budget.
