I was out antique shopping with the family this weekend. In one of the stores, I spotted a cardboard box full of Susie Bs in 2X2s sitting under glass. They all appeared to be dated 1979. I thought, "What the heck. Why not?"
The clerk handed me the box. I counted around 20 1979-P dollars. Of the 20, 2 were near date/wide rim. I'd take that ratio any day. And you can see how much this pair set me back.
I thought I'd share a quick pic with you all, so I didn't bother removing them from the 2X2s. One has a hit on the eye that really doesn't pop unless magnified. Just a few minor hits on the other, again, under magnification. In hand, they look nice. So, all in all, not a bad day...
