This is the strongest DDR for the year, and while not one of the really strong ones, it is still quite easy to spot with nice extra thickness all the way around. Just found it in a roll.

Another great coin. What caught my eye the most was not the variety, but the very nice die state and the channeling on the bust. (From the bow tie to below the nose) Very nice.

tropicalbats another great find. But where do you get your rolls? All the wheat coins I find are brown and worn.

Great thickness on that EPU. Congrats again.

Thanks! And where I get my rolls is wherever I can find them. These rolls I bought yesterday from a dealer who holds all the Lincolns he gets in for me and I pick them all up whenever I get a chance to stop by. The bulk of this purchase was circulated wheats, but one box had about 20 BU wheat rolls. They ranged from 1935 to 1947, and can be expensive to say the least. In this case I was able to reduce the cost by going through them and giving him back the top 5 coins in every roll, some very, very nice coins, while I bought what was left, which in some cases weren't better than UNC. He got what he wanted out of them and I got to go through everything, including the best coins, and pull any varieties. Good deal for both of us, but I still paid a lot for the set. My problem will end up being trying to find 5 UNC or better coins from each of these dates to bring them back up to full rolls to sell them off eventually.

I do have a network, but a lot of it when traveling is just using Google maps and going out to whatever shops are nearby or on my route. Some very nice dealers out there, with some easy to work with and everyone's on the same page and others less so. I tend to return to the ones who are fair and understand how wholesale coin buying works (since I rarely buy just a coin or two).
