Nice stats - I've found my hit rate to be mostly similar, but I found the 1980 double bar to be around 23% which is noticeably different to your rate.

How long did it take you to go through 1863 2000 50c pieces? I've been looking at rolls on and off for maybe five years and have only gone through 228.

Since August 2015 I have searched through 135,598 fifty cent coins, which is probably more than the average noodler.

Thinking about showing the full stats when I hit 150,000 if I can figure out how to display a table on this forum.

Well done!
I'd be interested to see the stats - I hadn't been able to find any stats on the 2000 incuse which is what made me really start searching for it.

There are 2 different "bubble" varieties of the 2012 fifty cent coin. The common type 1 is located in the large reed behind the emu, while the comparatively scarce type 2 is located in the reed above the kangaroo's head.

I have checked every 2012 that's come my way over the last four years (a total of 2023 coins) and have found:

type 1 (behind emu): 163 bubbles out of 2023 coins = 8.06%
type 2 (above roo): 13 bubbles out of 2023 coins = 0.64%

type 1

type 2

Yes ,thank you so much for the information, I have only been looking for 'type 1' and have found around 10 or so.
On the hunt now to track it down. Cheers.
