Hello, I'm new here so I apologize if I am posting in the wrong area. I have a 2021 Alabama State Quarter that has a gold tint to it. It doesn't look gold plated. It reminds me of the 1999 experimental quarters. Anyone have an idea?

Thanks

Toning. Not a premium for a coin.

There are some collectors who like toning and would be willing to pay a bit for toned coins they find attractive. What does the reverse look like?

I'll read up on toning. Thanks for the info! I can't upload the picture of the back. I get an error message everytime. It's sized right and it's file name I've changed 20 times, it just won't upload.

Either toning or one of the thousands of gold plated State Quarters by secondary resellers that is losing it's plating. Either way it's officially damage and carries no premium I'm afraid.
