Found this while going through some bulk coin in Australia.

16mm, 3.1g

Any chance it could be genuine?

I suppose there's a chance. I'm sure a place that buys gold could test it.

Weight and size are OK, but take spruett001 advice and have it tested.

Pretty sure it is genuine, don't know of any counterfeits out there
but is certainly wouldn't hurt to get checked out.

Thanks guys, sounds good. Will look into getting it tested.

Would be exciting if I actually found a gold coin amongst all those low value coins I was searching through.

I'll say! I believe that's about $240 melt value (AUD).

So this is what a circulated gold coin looks like. Amazing find. Congrats.

Take or send it to a bullion dealer or scrap jewelry buyer and have it XRF tested, but I am fairly sure that it is genuine.
