I found this penny in my pocket change and I noticed it had some damage from the mint. Also, if you look the L in Liberty is missing. Can you tell about this and is it worth anything

to the forum. Your pictures need to be much more clear and defined in the future but in this case they are more than adequate to see that this Lincoln Cent has been damaged sometime after if left the mint. It is worth 1 Cent.

@todd, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes better pics will help us to understand what you are seeing with the coin in hand. Right now I see flattening of the rim, which would be damage--after the coin was struck though.

It is damage and it is worth 1 cent.
That could not have happened during the striking of the coin.

Eager to see new large and sharp photos. As it stands now, I'm seeing a roughly circulated, post-strike damaged '80 D Memorial cent. Worth a full one cent.
