I recently found this Dime on a coin hunt and I was just wondering if the slit in Roosevelt's hair that makes him look like he has a mohawk, with an x above his hair and the slit in his throat errors or is the coin just worn? If it is from being worn how did the slits make make a perfect circular pattern? Also I am not sure if the letters or numbers have doubling or if my camera is just casting a shadow? In some pictures it looks like there is doubling then in others it don't! I also see on the coin that it appears there is something under his nose & he has a dimple on his cheek!I took it to a so called coin appriaser and she said she couldn't tell if it was worn or if it came of the mint like that but she can see that the zero was a little flatter then usual! She barely even looked at the coin. Therefore she didn't give me much to go off! Moreover, I don't have a scale, or a professional coin microscope but I'm working on investing in the equipment I need! However, any advice would be greatly appreciated! And thanks in advance

The circular cut is damage from a coin rolling machine. The dime was on the end and got hit by the crimper. Oh, sorry, welcome to the forum!

To the CCF

Under his nose is a Die Chip
The "Dimple" is just damage
The zero has just been flattened
The circular cut was explained
There is no Doubled Die on the letters

Nothing there of any value, it is worth 10 cents.
Hope the appraiser didn't charge you anything as you
can get free advise on this forum.
