Weight would help that it's not a thinned planchet.

Weight is normal, so I'll say this is a Grease Filled Die short of anything else I know of. Doesn't appear to be damage. Not 100% sure on this one. Grease and Die Deterioration?

I agree. Grease Fill. But what is missing is the strong rims that are seen on a Struck Through Grease fill:

Lack of strong rims makes this an interesting one. I think a weak strike is at least possible. Perhaps this would be a good one for Mike Diamond to take a look at.

It looks to me like the rims are defined but the reverse photo is a little out of focus so I'll say Grease Filled Die. Nice one too.

I'm leaning towards weak strike.

Although the rims are present, they are not uniform (looks like about 50% of the obverse rim is weak or gone) and they are definitely not strongly struck like on most grease filled strikes.

The symmetrical nature of the effect (mostly the same on both sides of the coin) suggests weak strike over grease.

I think it's a weak strike. I like it!
