Well, if your coin shows a profile image of Lincoln facing East on the coin and there are four numbers on it at the bottom right that look like "1983" on the Obverse, then you will have found a 1983 Lincoln Cent worth about 0.01 dollars.
Another clue to this estimate will be on the reverse, there will be a building on it that looks like the Lincoln Memorial.
Now if there is a letter underneath the numbers like a "D" or an "S" then the coin would have been made in either Denver or San Francisco.
If there is no letter under the numbers, then you have a coin that was minted in Philadelphia.
