$550. Minted in the depths of the Civil War. Thoughts? Thanks!

I'll say AU-50.

AU Details Cleaned and Scratched. The coin lacks originality and has a couple of decent scratches. You don't see this year too often!

The scratches don't bother me at all, but the color in this pic leaves me pretty uneasy. Could just be the pic, of course.

It's at least XF45, probably AU50, but if the color is as pictured, it will get a details grade.

I'm at XF on this one. Too much wear on the reverse to justify AU grade. Look at the talons, leaves, arrow fletching, wings and the leg. The obverse has obvious scratches and a hit on the upper shield. To justify that price tag it should be at least AU58 or better and I just don't see it.

This is a $930 coin at AU58 and undervalued at that price. Check your price guide.

What price guide are you using? I have a popular internet site bookmarked that I frequently refer to that lists the 1864P Seated Half at $375 in AU-50 and $675 in MS-60.

OK, The site I am using is not allowed to mentioned by name on this site. Considering the low mintage, I did find their pricing low for this coin, perhaps just an error in their entry because most of their other coins are well within the price ranges. I did check it against the PCGS site and saw the prices but that is also for a slabbed coin, not raw. I also used the PCGS site to photograde this coin.
