1970S 25c Washington quarter Proof Struck Through Glob of Grease

at the same weekend show, I picked up some 1970 proof sets hoping to find some varieties. There are lots from each denomination for the year but alas, there were none in these sets. But I did find this Struck Through Grease error. the recess is fairly deep. I don't find many errors on proof coins so this was a nice surprise.

Hope you enjoy!
(My apologies for the full coin images. My new phone is very inconsistent.)

Thanks QH72.
I don't see much for errors on proof coins so I'll take it.

Me neither, proof errors are quite difficult for me to come by. I say it's just nice to have found any error at all, especially on a proof!

Nice struck through "gritty" grease, especially on a proof coin.

Thanks guys.
Quality control was more in effect for these proof coins from what I've seen.

Although errors are scarcer than with business strikes,
when the Mint produces proof coins in the millions, some error coins inevitably slip through.
